The preparation work, installation of bearings onto the shaft, and installation of bearing seats are the same as standard products.
1. Fill with grease
In order to enhance dust and water resistance, 2/3 of the space is filled with grease in the rubber sealing lip and internal space inside the terminal cover.
2. Install seat bearings
Insert a terminal cover filled with grease onto the shaft, and then install the bearing with a seat (using the same method as the standard product). It is recommended to machine chamfers at the end of the shaft to avoid damaging the rubber sealing lip on the terminal cover.
3. Install terminal cover 1
Press the terminal cover that is threaded onto the shaft onto the bearing seat. Be careful not to directly strike the surface of the terminal cover with a hammer. Instead, use a plastic or wooden end to strike in a 45 degree direction around the circumference of the terminal cover. Do not only strike one position, but also strike around the entire terminal cover until it is firmly installed on the bearing seat.
4. Install terminal cover 2
